Roy L. Peeples is the Founder and Pastor of Turning Point Life Church in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He cheerfully answered God’s call to establish a church and serve the Kenosha community in 2011. Along with the responsibilities of leading, teaching, and equipping his TPLC family, he is very active in the community. He serves on the Board of Overseers and Church Planting Coach for the Converge Great Lakes conference. He serves as a Chaplain for the United Hospital Systems in Kenosha. He also acts as a family liaison at the Boys and Girls Club of Kenosha, encouraging young people to succeed. Roy is on a mission of “Loving and empowering people to become amazing followers of Jesus Christ” by connecting people to Christ and the local church.
He has been married to his best friend, Betty for 27 years. Roy and Betty have a son-in-law and daughter (Vance & Jasmyne Campbell), daughter (Jade) and son (Javelle) and a precious granddaughter (Londyn). Our core values as a family is to serve God and others.
Roy is an alumni of Trinity International University where he received a Bachelor degree in Christian Ministries. Roy worked as an Information Technology (IT) professional in corporate America for over 35 years before he retired in 2011. Roy is also a charter member of the Chicago chapter of the Black Data Processing Association (founded in 1986). This professional organization encourages African Americans to embrace the Information Technology field and solicit corporate sponsors in hiring African Americans in the IT field.
Roy is motivated by his passion and desire to unify with others whom have a vision of working with the youth to become positive and productive citizens. His engagements include mentoring young men to change their image through dressing for success programs, tutoring and academic excellence.
